4. Application for financial support
Before completing this section please note the following:

  • the programme costs £1900 per participant. Fees are payable in Ghana cedis equivalent at the prevailing British Council rate.

The costs cover the following items

  • programme materials and documentation
  • Economy airfares, accommodation, and meals, for attending one Pan African workshop in either Zambia or Senegal.
  • Accommodation and meal costs for 3 fully residential workshops in Ghana at a minimum 2-3 star conference venue around Prampram area. (Subject to confirmation)

You are expected to cover:

  • All travel costs associated with getting to and from the three workshops in Ghana, and to/from the airport to join Pan-African events.
  • Insurance cover, medical and visa costs associated with travel to a Pan African event.

Bursaries are available at the following rates: £950 and £1500. In your application please indicate the level of support you wish to apply for. Please note that you will be required to pay a difference of either £950 or £400.

Applicants who successfully receive a bursary will need to commit to a further action to extend the InterAction programme in their communities or organisations by securing commitment from them to deliver InterAction Offshoot workshops in those communities or organisations. £950 bursary recipients will be required to commit to arranging 1 day of offshoot. £1500 bursary recipients will commit to 3 days of offshoots. Payment schedule:

50% of the total amount will be due on 1st October 2007. The remaining 50% is due on 3rd January 2008. Participants will be invoiced for the respective amounts in cedis. Cheques should be made out to British Council.
